General Notes

I use a portion of this site (now called Business Science) as my personal business school in a box**. Business is very complicated and I've struggled to keep just my notes organized over the years. I think every C Level needs to understand the tight bond between profit, service quality and technology, but in coming up the technology track, I've been disappointed with the published text. It rarely goes beyond a FedEx case study.

Since an introductory conversation with Mike Sikora in '94, I've kept up a steady regimen of reading and note taking. Since then, I've compiled about two gigabytes on the broad topics on business, service and technology. Each month I digest what I can here.

A few of my "research" or digest topics include:
Knowledge Portfolio Management, Profit Forms, Minimum Computational Requirement, Service Design, Information Infrastructure Design, and X86 Mainframe Design.
