Warren currently serves
as Chief Information Officer for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman
LLP, a global law firm. In thirteen years with the legal
industry, Warren has led
technology modernization efforts and systems mergers for two of the
world’s largest law firms.
Warren began his career as a Cryptologist and Naval Officer where
for seven years he helped advance ‘least cost routing’
and graphical network management with the design of the TSM
satellite data network management system. He also supported
communications security improvements in the Western Pacific. Held
rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Warren began life in Maryland, the son of U.S. Army Captain
Warren Jones

Welch.
For twenty-two years, Warren has worked to study and address a
broad array of challenges related to science, technology and
business. From laboratory research studying how metal fatigue
affects telecommunications at age 13 to the development of
practical network and software systems leveraging Information and
Operations theory at age 26 to leading Merger projects at age 39,
Warren has a unique blend of skills and
experience.
In 2007, his lecture on Strategies for Developing Products Versus
Solutions was selected as the Keynote address for two
companies’ annual sales and strategy conferences.
