Before a Goal Form could be written to solve world peace or more practically, mow a lawn, we needed a way to describe and store the meaning of a Goal and the “essence” of all its parts. This would enable a machine to recognize the concept of “mowing the lawn” even when reading a fictional story in which a character trimmed organic crystals outside her home on Mars.

The term Platonic Form is a misnomer as even simple Forms contain dozens of sub-Forms that each define the ancestry, symbols, sequence, coincidence, shape, causality and technologies. These subforms define not only the essence of the Goal, but the pursuit routes that will enable the entity to align its measured states of Self with the Goal definition. Note that most Forms are brief, primarily consisting of linkages to “base” knowledge, stored elsewhere in the entity’s contextual fabric.

Plato mentioned forms of knowledge in an allegory (Plato 380BC) that described leaving “the cave” and entering the light where true Forms could be seen. Thus Platonic Forms were so named. The format we developed captures shapes, sequence, coincidence, causality and technology as symbolic and relative information, making it possible to capture a symbol’s essence. This makes it possible for a system not only able to recognize a Martian lawn, but able to see similarities between slowing grass growth, winter, death and sad songs.
